Symphonic Band performance at University of North Texas

May 5th - Saturday - Symphonic Band performance at University of North Texas
Murchison Performing Arts Center

Parents - we have room on the bus for a few parents if you would like to ride with us
  • Congratulations Symphonic Band - you are ready for a beautiful performance.
    • Wear concert black = Black or black and grey dress clothes
      • Black dress pants, dress shirt, black dress shoes,  Black coat and  tie are optional
      • Black dress or black skirt and blouse.  All skirts must be knee length or longer
      • Students should bring enough money for lunch at Mr. Frosty's in Denton (Burgers, shakes, fries, etc.)  $7 - $10 should be plenty
  • Saturday Morning schedule 
  • 7:30 - Meet at Walker Band Hall
  • 8:00 - Warm up and Rehearse
  • 8:30  - Bus departs for Denton
  • 9:30  - Arrive, unload, line up
  • 10:00- Warm Up
  • 10:30 - Performance
  • 11:00 - Pack up
  • Walking Tour of campus
  • Lunch at Mr. Frosty's
  • 3:00 - Return to Walker
To avoid dealing with parking permits and and paying for parking parents are welcome to ride the bus with us as long as space is available.  First come first served.

PRIVATE VEHICLE PARKING
Visitors have three options:
 Parking Garage
 Meter
 Visitor Permit
It is imperative for visitors to arrive early because it takes quite a while to obtain a parking permit and then park.
Parking Garages: Visitors may park at one of the two public parking garages, Highland Street Garage and Union Circle Garage. Garage parking is 2.00 per hour, or 10.00 per day. Visitors may park in the Highland Street Garage to visit the Parking and Transportation Office; parking in the garage is free for 30 minutes or less
Meters: Visitors may park at parking meters, which are located on Highland Street and West Sycamore Street. Meter parking is 1.00 per hour, and the meters accept silver coinage. NOTE: The meters located on Fry Street, North of UNT’s campus, have a one hour time limit, and are not for student use.
Visitor Permit: Visitors need a visitor parking permit to park on campus. Permits may be purchased for $5 per day at the Parking Office located in the Highland Street Garage on Central Avenue during normal business hours. Visitors may park free in the Highland Street Garage for 30 minutes or less, to visit the Parking and Transportation Office. After hours, visitor passes may only be obtained at the Sullivan Public Safety Center on Wilshire Street. A Visitor(s) is any individual(s) who are not Students, Faculty, or Staff.

May 22 - End of Year concert
May 23 - turn in all school instruments
May 29 - 6/1 - Check out instruments for summer and '18-'19  school year
June 11 - 16   Dallas Winds Summer Band Camp - performance at the Meyerson
