Contest Performances

Our students have been working toward these performances for months and now they are here.  Check your schedules and make sure you have these on your schedule.  All performances are class project grades and are required.  See schedules below and in the schedules tab.

Congratulations!

Concert and Symphonic Bands both performed at DISD Pre-UIL this week and turned in great performances.  Concert band earned 2nd Division honors in Sight-Reading.  Symphonic Band earned 1st Division honors in Concert performance.  Both bands are preparing for UIL Region Evaluations.

This Week!

Band-a-thon! is here!

UIL Regionals are coming up for both bands.  Since we are STAAR testing this week we will lose several days of rehearsal.  This Thursday both the Concert and Symphonic Bands will rehearse after school from 4:00 - 6:00, then we'll grill hot dogs and have a picnic till 7:00.
This is critical for our band's success at UIL and the rest of our contests.

Students, we need all Concert and Symphonic members to be there Thursday and ready to work.

Parents, we need lots help with the grilling.  If you have a grill you can bring we would love your help.  We would like each family to donate 1 of the following:

A package of hotdogs
A package of hotdog buns
A 2-liter of soda
Condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish)
Paper goods (paper plates, napkins, cups)
