Change in Schedule for Pre-UIL
The Walker Concert and Symphonic Bands will travel and compete in the DISD Pre-UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluations this week.
Wednesday - Concert Band will travel and perform
- 4th period - report to band hall
- Lunch at school and rehearsal
- 1:00 depart for Ann Richard's Middle School
- 2:15 Warm up
- 3:15 Concert Performance
- 3:45 Sight Reading Performance
- 4:20 Depart for Walker
- 5:20 Arrive at Walker, put gear away, rides should be ready to pick up students
Thursday - Symphonic Band will travel and perform
- 8:00 Warm up in Band Hall
- 8:30 Load bus
- 8:50 Depart for Ann Richard's Middle School
- 9:45 Warm Up
- 10:15 Concert Performance
- 10:45 Sight Reading Performance
- 11:15 Load bus and depart for CiCi's pizza
- 12:30 Lunch
- 1:30 Load bus and return to Walker
Dress - Students should wear Dress Black for the performances. (any combination of black and grey dress clothes). No jeans or athletic shoes. Boys may wear a coat and/or tie but it is not required. Girls may wear a dress or skirt that is knee length or longer. (No skirts above the knee allowed)
Lunch - we will be eating lunch at school on Wednesday. Students in that group do not need to bring money for pizza. The group traveling on Thursday will not be back in time for school lunch and should bring $6 for lunch the day of the trip.
